WHAT IS WEBSPHERE ?
WebSphere is software plateform developed by IBM .it is an
integration software plateform.. It is a set of Java-based tools
from IBM that allows
customers to create and manage sophisticated
business Web sites. It includes everything
needed to write ,run , and monitor industrial-strength, on
demand Web applications and
cross-platform, cross-product solutions. Servers ,services and tools are
required to write ,run and monitor industrial
strength at middleware all
these are present in webSphere. The integration software provided by WebSphere is areliable, flexible and robust
software.As we said it is a set of Java -based tools that allows
customers to create and manage business websites. The tool is
WebSphere
application server.WebSphere server is an application server which is used by
the clients to connect Web site users with Java applications or
servlets. WebSphere supports open standard interfaces such as the Common
Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA).Websphere use Java Data Base Connectivity
(JDBC) across different plateforms. to connect with data base. WebSphere support almost every operating system from Solaris to
windows.WebSphere also includes Studio, a developer's environment with
additional components that allow a Web site's pages to be created and managed. WebSphere is used to connect
,integrate, automate and optimize your applications.WebSphere was developed specifically to provide integrators and
consultants with a one-stop plateform when it comes to building a next-generation, e-business ,e-commerce Web environment for their
customers.

.1.WebSphere Application Server:-
It
is an application server that a customer can use to connect Web site users
with Java applications or servlet.WebSphere Application server comes in three editions Standard
,Advance and Enterprise editions.
Standard edition:-standard edition allows
you to use Java servlets, Java Server Pages, and XML to quickly transform
static Web sites into vital sources of dynamic Web content.
Advance Edition:- This Edition is a
high-performance EJB server for implementing EJB components that
incorporate business logics.Enterprise Edition:-This Edition integrates
EJB and CORBA components to build high-transaction,E-business applications.
2.WebSphere Studio:-Websphere
studio is a collection of tools used to develop web based applictions. It
integrates IBM tools such as Visual age for java and third party HTML and Image creation tools.
3.WebSphere Commerce:-
this
is a set of specialized components used for e-commerce and e-business. Mainlly WebSphere was developed to provide integrators and
consultants with a one-stop plateform for building a next-generation,
e-business Web environment for their customers.
